A cleaning company, an inventory company, and a gap in the market.
Before AIHPG existed, we ran two property-service businesses serving London landlords and letting agents: ClickCleanit for end-of-tenancy cleans, and Click Inventories for AIIC-accredited check-in, check-out and mid-term reports.
Working day-to-day with letting agents across the city, we kept watching the same pattern: an agent would finish the tenant-find, subcontract the clean to us at £220, and bill the landlord £350. Then outsource the inventory, and bill it at a similar mark-up. Then call a separate contractor for any decoration, same again. Four layers of coordination, three layers of mark-ups, and one landlord left wondering why a "let only" service had just cost them £1,200 in line-item extras.
The agents we worked with weren't dishonest. This is simply how the industry has always been structured. But the model was indefensible from a landlord's perspective. So we built something different.
